The wonderful miniature schnauzer

I have a desperate love for dogs, in particular the salt and pepper miniature schnauzer. I could go on and on why they are truly the best dog or even pet imaginable, and maybe I will. There are the obvious reasons: they're extremely intelligent and very trainable, they do not shed at all, and most are not very vocal unless they think it's necessary. They have a wonderful compact, solid build - they are not a girlie froofroo dog.

My love of schnuazers began several years ago when I was searching for the perfect companion dog that would be "my dog". I saw a picture of a dog that looked like a grumpy old man, complete with beard and bushy brows and thought - perfect! After searching for several months, I found a local breeder with a 5 year old male that was no longer performing his duties. The breeder could not keep him as a pet, so that's how I met up with Hardy, best boy ever. Hardy was well trained - he would never dream of messing in the house. We took to eachother instantly and he has been my constant companion since that day.

I've since learned enough about schnauzers to bore everyone to death, so I'll stop for now. There are plenty of subjects to save for another post - grooming your schnauz, schnauzer clubs, and of course more cute schnauzer pics.
